64 Days

Producer & Shooter

2025 Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Current Affairs documentary

The afternoon of January 5, 2021, me and two colleagues arrived to Washington DC to cover the last big march in support of Donald Trump. What seemed to be another concentration of MAGA supporters and militant groups to defend the outgoing president and his theory of electoral fraud became the day that shook the world, as his failed efforts to overturn the election results emboldened thousands of people to surrender the Capitol, and then break into it.

That day was the last effort to keep Donald Trump in office, and we had covered the past two months in the streets of DC, Atlanta, or Arizona.

Through never-before-seen footage, exclusive access to the Proud Boys and his leader, eyewitness reports, unreported emails, videos, social media posts, interviews with politicians on both sides of the aisle, and unprecedented access to the investigators supporting the January 6 Committee, this documentary chronicles one of the most important period of United States’ recent history: the 64 days between the election and the devastating January 6th assault on the Capitol.

Blood On The Wall

Co-Producer & Shooter

A National Geographic documentary directed by Academy Awards nominees Nicholas Quested and Sebastian Junger, which I co-produced.

It follows the Central American migrant caravan that crossed Mexico towards the US in late 2018, focusing in Ludy, a teenager who is flanked by her friends from Honduras, and Sara, a young mother and grandmother who hopes to escape the violence in Guatemala for a better future in the United States.

Through the path of the caravan through Mexico, the documentary unveils also the socioeconomic and political complexities in this country: the camera follows the people involve in drug trafficking towards the US, from the poor farmer that cultivates poppy for survival, to the members of the Sinaloa cartel that process and smuggle the drug into the US; two photographers in Acapulco that are dealing daily with the gang-related violence in this once golden resort for Hollywood stars; and interviews with relevant politicians, journalists and members of the Mexican civil society.

Surveilled

Tracking The New Yorker journalist Ronan Farrow as he investigates the growing business of commercial spyware, following the story from New York City to Tel Aviv, Israel, a thriving center of espionage cybertechnology. Once a target of covert surveillance himself, Farrow explores the multibillion-dollar industry, addressing the twofold uses and implications of phone hacking, the ability to monitor criminal activity and the attendant threats to civil liberties.
